As we prepare papers, forms, and energy to complete last year’s taxes, I ask, “What is your relationship with money?”
Many of us were raised with the repeated phrase, “Money is the root of all evil.” The correct and total phrase is: “ For the love of money is the root of all evil;” 1 Timothy 6:10 KJV
Money is necessary to live, like air, water, food, and companionship. Money buys us necessities like rent, transportation, food, and clothing. And money may provide some of our ‘wants’ like entertainment.
Our relationship with money has been defined early by our birth family which creates our “financial set-point,” which we can raise or lower. How do you feel about YOUR money helping the general good with your taxes – and what IS your relationship with money?
