So exactly who is Katharine? We’ll let her tell the story…

First, for those of you who have not read my formal biography, I have been training professional concierge for over 20 years now. I retired from that industry in February of 2023, although I still do sessions on the topic.

Since my childhood, my inner voice—the reliable little bird on my shoulder—has been a steady companion, offering guidance like a wise confidante.

In 1998, my feathery friend seamlessly transitioned into a business advisor, urging me to start a concierge business. Back then the U.S. had a few dozen concierge companies at best. Yet, guided by my inner voice, I pioneered one of them. However, the lack of available resources presented a challenge as there were no guidebooks, no helpful consultants—just me, my inner voice, and the vast unknown. It was the ultimate of “self-taught.” Not only did I start a business in the field, but I wrote my first best-selling book “The Concierge Manual,” now in its sixth and final edition. After it’s publication, I founded the first association for independent concierge, which is the reason I am known as one of the original founders of the Independent Concierge Industry.

Yet despite my reliance on my inner voice, I chose to keep it hidden, especially within the professional realm. My friends and family knew, but my clients? Nope. When they asked, “How do you know that?” I’d just say, “Just a feeling,” or “Years of experience,” like a magician never revealing their tricks.

What really happened is my Inner Voice (also called higher self, intuition, spirit guides, angels, God) had gently whispered the words to me. I would “hear” an answer, “see” an image in my mind, just “know” the answer, or I would literally “feel” it. Often I sensed all four at once. I became an expert at quickly translating the guidance I received into everyday language for my client.

Despite having possessed these gifts since childhood, societal norms led me to suppress it. When I was in my teens, society shunned people with abilities like mine. We were labeled as crazy and were accused of practicing hoo-doo-voo-doo. Since I was bullied on a pretty regular basis in school, I decided early on to hide my gift, so I would fit in. I really didn’t want them to stuff me in a locker! I wanted to be like everyone else.

In 2020, I was speaking to my friend Katie (www.DrNall.com) on the phone. As always, my gift came alive during the call and I offered some guidance. Being really intuitive herself, she recognized my intuitive abilities and encouraged me to embrace and share them professionally.

Now, with a renewed sense of purpose, I am ready to step out of the shadows and fully embrace my intuitive gift, sharing it with the world in a professional capacity.

The good news for me is that I have finally found some great like-minded people!
