Emotions can be like fireworks
The month of fireworks to celebrate independence is upon us. Fireworks can be beautiful, awe inspiring, and loud – just like our emotions.
Beautiful emotions like love, caring, and joy create a sense of peace and comfort in our soul. Others can move us into these beautiful, colorful emotions. And we create these beautiful emotions ourselves when we care for others and ourselves! The sense of caring can bring us joy and love.
Taking the time to recognize how others care for us – whether it’s opening the door or keeping us laughing throughout the day.
The sense of awe is ours anytime we stop and become curious. Watching the fireworks and wonder about the physics driving the colors in different directions can be awe-inspiring. Proudly observing your loved ones as they accomplish a challenging struggle can be awe-inspiring. Walking down the street and noticing the leaves on a tree, the voice of a bird, or the sound of crickets can be awe-inspiring. Our curiosity can drive our awe.
The loud emotions which can be anger, hurt, and pain frequently feel like the sound of fireworks.
Often these loud emotions appear to erupt without our ability to control them. When we step forward in curiosity to recognize these loud emotions, we can learn to release them in a healthy manner to then experience the beautiful emotions. Tapping is one of many ways to release loud emotions – especially trauma.
Traumatic events feel like the loudness and powerfulness of fireworks, only not so beautiful. Being able to step back and return to the calming emotions can be accomplished through Tapping (Emotional Freedom Techniques or EFT). Tapping is gaining in popularity throughout the world.
This brain-based somatic technique has proven to reduce cortisol levels by 42% in one hour thereby allowing you to relax and enjoy the beauty of life.
If you are ready to release the loudness of your life and are curious about bringing back the beauty, reach out to me to discuss how Tapping can make a dramatic difference in your life, giving you emotional independence.
